    lack of kitchenette

We loved the convenient 24-hour reception, made our late check-ins hassle-free. The hotel is near Chueca, where we enjoyed a variety of shops and restaurants, perfect for our family. Our kids had a blast exploring the area while we relaxed after a long day.

My wife says that a kitchenette would have been great for our family to prepare simple meals.

Secure hotel in a really cool area close to metro station Gran Via, Gran Via, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Retiro Park and the old town restaurants and the Prado museum. Compact and functional units with the shower and bidet. Marvellous and fantastic location, a couple of blocks away from Mercado de Fuencarral: D

The location was excellent (near the Gran Via metro stop and Plaza de Mella) in the heart of Madrid.

They should advertise the oppressive rules that come along with staying here. If I had know that this operates more like a youth hostel (no noise after 12, no visitors, must return key when leaving, etc.) I would have paid a little more for a place operated a little more like a hotel with all of the freedom and privacy that come with it.

We coluld stay there just one night, its view was to Plaza de Miguel and watching from the window you colud see the sky or even people , ( in most hotels you can see just walls all around :( we were 3 persons and the room was so enough for us, we felt good there, staff was lovely with all of us.

We coluldn't find bath soap and shampoo in the bathroom. But we didn't ask too, perhaps the woluld put something.we stayed just one night and we didn't ask for it.

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk from Gran Via metro. Hostal was on the top floor of a building, with very good security measures, so felt very safe. We had a triple room which was a good size, although the bathroom was a tad small.

The room with private bathroom. The location in a really cool area was marvellous and incredible and there were shopping malls and a supermarket nearby. Just a 10-minute walk away there was Gran Via subway station.

    excellent location
    friendly staff

The location of Hostal Zamora is perfect, being just a few minutes away from the Gran Vía metro stop and surrounded by various restaurants and convenience stores. The room was clean and adequate for my needs, with a shower, air conditioning, and a safe for a nominal fee. The staff provided really good service, particularly Emanuel, who was always available to answer questions and assist with any requests.

Very friendly staff, attentive and polite. Available 24 hours excellent location, near 2 busy metro stops. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs nearby. On a busy square (very busy in the evenings) but good soundproofed windows. Its a basic place to stay but its reflected in the price. Also good location for all the main tourist attractions and the main shopping streets. Local supermarkets are very cheap and not too far away once you get your bearings. All in all a lovely if basic place to stay. Have stayed in much worse places and paid much more money. So its all good!

The shower was refreshing and the Wi-Fi was super reliable, making my stay feel cozy and connected. There are comfy lounge areas and a lovely terrace where you can unwind. The bathroom was a bit tight, but it didn't spoil my overall experience. 😊

I can't say enough good things about this Pension. First its location in a great (and fairly quiet) Plaza is perfect, close to public transport (Gran Via metro) and all the major sights. There were also some great restaurants and cafes close by. Second, the staff are possibly the best staff I have come across in this industry, helpful and polite. They helped me map out my trip, what to see and when (Prado & Reina Sofia have free entry after 6pm & 7pm respectively each night). The room I stayed in (an individual) was comfortable, clean and just what I needed. The Pension was quiet and has someone at the front desk 24/7. Being on the 4th floor the street noise was also not a problem.

The only thing I didn't like was the temperature of the room at night which was too hot with the heater turned on automatically (no way to turn it off) but opening the window fixed that.

The staff was very accommodating and tended to all of my needs. They were very polite, helpful, and kind. They allowed me to keep my luggage in a secure room before I checked in (I arrived early) while I got to explore Madrid! I definitely suggest this hostel.

The only thing I didn't like was having to leave my key at the front desk every time I left and retrieve it when I got back. However, they did this for security reasons.
